Sand Save Percentage is a statistic that shows the percent of sand shots that hit the green and were following by only one putt to hole out. This stat is calculated by dividing the total number of sand or buried sand greenside shots that hit the green and were followed by only one putt by the total number of sand or buried sand greenside shots included in the report.
Higher numbers indicated better performance; however, a value of 0 for Sand Save Percentage could mean that either no sand shots hit the green or had more than one putt after them indicating poor performance or that no sand shots exist in the reports included holes which does not indicate poor performance.
